About this project
Nexus Health is an accessible, human-centric telemedicine ecosystem designed to connect patients with board-certified physicians, manage digital prescriptions, and streamline health records management. The focus of this project was to remove the stress and anxiety associated with online medical appointments by building a clean, welcoming, and intuitive web and mobile application interface tailored for users of all age groups and technical abilities.
Challenge
Designing a healthcare platform meant strictly adhering to HIPAA data privacy and security compliance standards without making the user interface feel clinical, cold, or overly bureaucratic. We needed to balance robust data security features with an open, accessible visual flow that instills trust, simplifies appointment scheduling, and guides patients smoothly through video consultations.
Problem
Existing patient management portals were notoriously difficult to navigate, featuring tiny fonts, confusing multi-step forms, and unorganized patient records. Elderly patients frequently struggled to join virtual consultations, resulting in high appointment no-show rates, overloaded support phone lines, and general dissatisfaction with digital health services.
Solutions
We developed an accessible, low-friction interface featuring high-contrast color palettes, large legible typography, and a simplified three-step consultation booking flow. By introducing clear status indicators, automated SMS reminders, and a simplified patient dashboard, we created a reassuring medical platform that dramatically reduced missed appointments and improved health accessibility.
